This deeply intriguing, visceral, and heart pounding thriller is one of the best crafted stories I’ve ever read. Set in San Francisco during the 1906 earthquake, this can’t be put down story grips you from the very first pages and never lets go.
Flacco, a screenwriter by trade, uses his considerable talent to craft a page turner novel that is richly crafted, sports deep complicated characters, and a villain that makes even the most jaded reader’s blood run cold.
I truly loved this remarkable novel and it saddens me that it is not as well known as it rightfully should be. If you read no other book this year, read this one. You won’t be disappointed.
Dear Cesar:
Many thanks for the wonderful review you gave my client, Anthony Flacco, for The Last Nightingale. It was his debut novel, having previously published two nonfiction books, and the sequel, The Hidden Man represents the end of this series, unfortunately. Anthony’s work can be viewed at http://www.AnthonyFlacco.com
Again, many thanks for such an insightful review and for recognizing the talent that still remains a big secret.
All best,

I’m so glad to find this recognition of Anthony Flacco’s books. He is a true “find.”
I don’t think it will be long before his name is well known among mystery book lovers.
Flacco’s prose is smooth and seamless. He characters — the good guys as well as the bad guys — are real. They are flawed, strong, insecure and brave. I know these people and if I don’t know them, I want to.
In Nightingale, I saw the 1906 earthquake. I believe in a disaster crime explodes during the chaos. Flacco is unique in recognizing this. Flacco and Milton Friedman have something in common in recognizing people take advantage of chaos and disaster to breed crime.
For readers who want to read great stories that are beautifully written, vivid imagry and compelling situations that cause you to miss appointments, stay up too late or never to leave the book at home, Anthony Flacco is your author.
