Man on Fire with Denzel Washington is 10x better than the novel it was based on (yet another forgettable title). Two examples:

The only adaptation I have not liked is the most recent 'Pride & Prejudice' with Keira Knightley - not a patch on the BBC's with Colin Firth in those white breeches!
